WHAT IS ACUTE CARE EXACTLY?
Acute care is treatment for an active but short-term episode of illness, urgent medical condition or minor injury. Your need for quick and efficient treatment may be due to an infection or a minor injury due to an accident.
Beach Family Medical is equipped to treat many non-life-threatening acute conditions that include but are not limited to:
- Acute Pain and Injuries
- Allergies
- Asthma and Trouble Breathing
- Cold, Flu, Fevers and Viruses
- Diarrhea and Constipation
- Earaches
- Headaches
- Minor Lacerations and Minor Burns
- Nausea and Vomiting
- Respiratory Infections
- Sinus Infections
- Skin Rash and Dry Skin
- Sore, Strep Throat
- Sports Injuries
- Sprains and Strains
- Stomach Upset and Pain
- Urinary Tract Infections
Policy prevents any of our staff from diagnosis and/or treatment of patients over the telephone. Walk-In services are unavailable at Beach Family Medical & Wellness Center. It is important to call for an appointment and come into the office at your appointed time, enabling us to oversee the care that you deserve.
To accommodate urgent medical conditions, we have flexibility in scheduling treatment for non-life-threatening illness and minor injury, allowing us to see patients in a timely manner - usually within the same day.
Experiencing an emergency?
When Beach Family Medical is closed, depending on the severity of the symptoms or injury, you should seek immediate attention at an urgent care clinic or hospital emergency room.
If you or your loved one are experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency, call 911 and go to an emergency room.
PAYMENT/INSURANCE
Beach Family Medical accepts payment by major credit or debit card, American Express, MasterCard or VISA, at the time of service. Personal check and cash are also accepted.
PARTICIPATING INSURANCE CARRIERS
Beach Family Medical accepts a range of well-known insurance carriers and referral options. Please check with our Office Manager prior to making an appointment to be certain of your particular insurance carrier status at Beach Family Medical. If you do not see your insurance plan listed below, please check with us and your carrier for out-of-network benefits.

Some services offered may not be covered due to variations in individual insurance plans, such as medical acupuncture. Please call or stop by our office to discuss your options further.
